BRAZING FILLER METALS
Homogeneous Mixture-Type Aluminum Brazing Filler Metals
What is a homogeneous mixture-type aluminum brazing filler metal? An aluminum brazing filler metal in which the filler metal and flux are uniformly mixed throughout, ensuring a consistent composition and performance.

Flux-Cored Type Aluminum Brazing Filler Metal
What is a flux-cored type aluminum brazing filler metal? An aluminum brazing filler metal in which the flux is contained within its core.
What is a common issue with flux-cored aluminum brazing filler metals? Significant variation in flux content, which can fluctuate by ±5% or more. This variation can lead to inconsistent brazing results.
What is the advantage of SKA’s flux-cored aluminum brazing filler metals over competitors’ products? SKA maintains flux content variation within ±1% in its flux-cored aluminum brazing filler metals by using a forced injection process. This precise control ensures consistent brazing performance, giving SKA a competitive advantage.

Silver Brazing Filler Metals (BAg)
Silver Brazing Filler Metals (BAg) consist mainly of silver (Ag). They are used for brazing various metals, including stainless steel, steel components, and non-ferrous metals such as tungsten alloy, titanium alloy, tungsten carbide, diamond, and brass. There are two types of silver brazing filler metals:
- Cadmium-containing silver brazing filler metals
- Cadmium-free silver brazing filler metal
The choice between these types depends on various factors, including work conditions, required mechanical properties, brazing temperature, and specific application requirements.

Copper Phosphorus Brazing Filler Metals (BCuP)
Copper Phosphorus Brazing Filler Metals (BCuP) are alloys composed of copper and phosphorus (Cu-P), or copper, silver, and phosphorus (Cu-Ag-P). They are commonly used for brazing copper and copper alloys. BCuP series brazing filler metals offer excellent electrical conductivity at the joined points, strong mechanical properties, and good corrosion resistance against acids. However, they are not compatible with iron.
